Each of these animals and their friends live in America's WETLAND and depend on us to save their habitat. Kids across the country have met Captain Eddy and his Estuarian friends and have learned about the reasons why our wetlands are so important. A Note From Captain Eddy: Ahoy, mates. Thanks for visiting and I hope you learn a lot about our home as you explore our website. here you will find lot's of information about America's WETLAND, the valuable landscape located along Louisiana's coast. Many creatures spend all our part of their lives in the wetland. America's WETLAND is also a place that is valuable to people for homes, natural resources, and recreation. The Krewe of Estys When the America’s WETLAND Campaign began, it recruited the help of the Estuarian’s (Esty’s for short) to help spread awareness and save coastal Louisiana. The Esty’s were eager to help. “This is our home and we are eager to help save it,” said Capt. Eddy, leader of the Americas WETLAND action heroes, the Estuarians. You can find the Esty's spreading the word all over. "We've been to Memphis, Tennessee, Dubuque, Iowa, Washington DC and all over Louisiana doing our job to save America's WETLAND," said Reed the reptile. Each year the Esty's march in Louisiana Mardi Gras parades to create awareness amongst all the visitors from out of town and folks right here about the importance of America's WETLAND. The Esty’s are always busy at work, to find out where you can see them next, click here and to book them for your next environmental event click here. Au revoir, thanks for visiting! -- Pierre |
