Pelican Coast Neckwear is donating 20% of the proceeds from the sale of each necktie in their Coastal Collection to the America's WETLAND Foundation. The donations will help in the effort to raise awareness and support for saving coastal Louisiana

Pelican Coast Neckwear, owned by a fifth-generation New Orleans family, creatively designed, in a fun, yet conservative, original motif, which features shrimp, oysters, pelicans and magnolias. The Coastal Collection consists of handmade 100% silk neckties, which combine fashion with the passion for saving Louisiana's coastal wetlands.

"For more than a century my family has lived in New Orleans where my great grandfather began a history of philanthropy that I am proud to continue today," said Virginia Rowan, Founder of Pelican Coast Neckwear. "After Katrina, my family and I decided to start Pelican Coast Neckwear to help restore and create awareness for Louisiana's precious wetlands."

The America's WETLAND Campaign, is the largest, most comprehensive public education campaign in the State's history, was launched to raise public awareness of the impact of Louisiana's wetland loss on the state, nation and world. The initiative is supported by a growing coalition of world, national and state conservation and environmental organizations and has drawn private support from businesses that see wetlands protection as a key to economic growth.
